Zeitgeist House Rules
  • Hybrid characters, excepting a Fighter/Barbarian hybrid, get four trained skills plus bonuses from other classes, to a maximum of six.
  • Forgotten Realms or Eberron feats not related to Swordmage or Artificer must get DM approval before being taken (Saying no to Dragonmarks btw).
  • Ignore the material component for the Disenchant Item ritual.

Each character will get two bonus feats:

  • One Expertise feat. For non-Essentials feats, the improved bonuses are at 11/21 instead of 15/25 for equality.
  • One Defensive feat involving a feat bonus to NADs (Improved Defenses, Great Fortitude, Iron Will, Lightning Reflexes, or the Superior version of the latter three; Swordmages may swap for Greater Swordmage Warding at 11th level). Note that you must meet the prerequisites for any feats.

For a Background, you maybe choose one of the of the following benefits and somehow associate it with your background:

  • Gain a +2 bonus to checks with a skill.
  • Gain a +1 bonus to two different skills.
  • Add a skill to your class's skills list before you choose your trained skills.
  • Choose one language. You can speak, read, and write that language fluently.
