Sc: Your personality easily commands the attention of a crowd. In some way, you're a performer at heart - whether on stage, giving political speeches, or merely racing across rooftops, people pay attention! Your name is well known in circles that you move in, even if opinion on you is divided.
Sp: When you succeed a skill check against an Ace that makes that Ace look bad in front of others, you can spend one Luck to instantly reduce that Ace's pressure by 20.
Rf: One per expedition, when you receive applause from an audience, you can restore one luck to an ally.

Sc: You hold a special place in society that sets you among the social circles of the movers-and-shakers - if not royalty or nobility, you hold some claim to fame that means that you can have a meeting arranged with just about anyone and receive hospitality nigh anywhere you go. You move with ease in high society, and tend to have a natural understanding of higher politics on a personal level.
Sp: Once per Ace, when an Ace causes you difficulty, you can spend one luck and force them to treat you with hospitality and respect your status - you tend to get captured instead of killed, people are willing to sit down with tea with you, that sort of thing. This doesn't mean that they stop acting against your interests, but it means that they will treat you with decency while they do so, at least until you attack them.
Sp: Once per game, you can spend one luck and call for reason - causing groups that are otherwise mortal enemies to slow down and treat each-other peacefully, even when this seems completely unreasonable. Both parties have to at least nominally respect your status. When this peace is either formalized in a treaty or betrayed, you regain this ability.
Rf: Once per expedition, when you and another party member have a chance to enjoy the comforts of high society, you can restore one luck to an ally.

It wasn't often that María del Mar Fernández got a day off. Especially as of late. But her nerves were starting to waver and she managed to convince her manager that she needed one day to breathe before her upcoming concert. That's how she found herself browsing around the shopping district with a hoodie pulled over her head. But that's a story for another time. The sighting was already covered over the internet, after all.

In all honesty, Maria never thought that she would become an idol as she got older. The audition itself came as a last minute surprise. The Institute of Art had come to her school to hold auditions and try to scope out promising students who could attend in the future. Her friends wanted to go there for fun and she ended up going with them since that's what friends were for, right? One thing led to another and since she was standing in line with the others to chat she was called up to the stage. A series of nudges later and she was staring at the audience, ready to deliver a performance that would define her future. Looking back on things, it wasn't even close to the greatest performance she had done. None of the students were particularly stellar. If the scholarship to I.O.A was any indication however, there was potential. Her friends never made the cut.

A lot of people tell you that certain professions are defined by your own personal skills in them and by simply being a hobbyist you can exceed even the most accomplished student. Whoever said this hadn't met María del Mar Fernández. The girl lacked exactly what the school offered. Focus. Sure, she had done karaoke and loved to sing when nobody was home at the house, but the sheer scale of a more professionalized world was all new to her. The recording studios, the set rehearsal schedules and being constantly reminded of the importance of public image. After just a few weeks at the school she had combed through her social media and had gotten rid of anything at all that she thought wasn't appropriate. They had shown her enough horror stories of people that were ruined because they did something stupid in their past.

That said, her program at I.O.A is still classified as an unfinished student. During her second year she was approached by her current manager, who worked for the state. They were looking to start an idol group straight from the Selvan Republic. Many self-proclaimed musicians from the New Alleron League were managing to become popular overseas with their new rock and heavy metal. The state felt that having their own icons would help their image and perhaps garner international interest from pop enthusiasts that were being drowned out. In the end, that's how María del Mar Fernández became more accustomed to responding to the phrase 'Miss Universe!' than her own name.
